The bias began on June 23 with a Reuters article titled: “Wal-Mart charges suppliers when its costs rise.” The article was based on a confidential document Walmart had shared with suppliers a week earlier about changes to supplier agreements on payment terms and certificates related to suppliers` use of Walmart`s supply chain for the flow of goods to new stores and distribution centers. • Simplify and standardize the collection of certificates related to the growth of our business and the use of Walmart`s supply network by suppliers (in particular, the new store allocation, warehouse allocation and the new storage allocation). In performing this Agreement, the parties agree that this Agreement, the Terms of Purchase and the Seller`s Standards contained therein constitute the full understanding of the parties, a full allocation of risk between them and a complete and exclusive explanation of the terms of their agreement; and all prior agreements, negotiations, transactions and understandings, whether written or oral, with respect to the subject matter of this Agreement shall be superseded and merged into this Agreement. Any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing and will be made by both parties.
